The Butcher's Hound comes from Montgomery Meats, a working butcher shop that has served Indiana families for more than a century. Same shop, same standards, now feeding four-legged customers too.
Where we come from
A century in Ladoga
For over 100 years, Montgomery Meats has operated in the same spot in Ladoga, Indiana. We are a full-service butcher shop and processing facility, and for generations our work has centered on one thing: handling good, locally raised meat with care. Most of what we process comes from Midwest family farms selling straight to the households who trust them. That is the counter our reputation was built on.
How it started
The dogs came for the organs
The Butcher's Hound began in 2024, and it started with a pattern we could not ignore. More and more customers were asking us for organs, including cuts we had rarely harvested before, like spleen and pancreas. They were feeding raw, and they wanted the real thing.
We realized we were sitting on exactly what raw feeders were hunting for: fresh meat, fresh organs, and freshly ground bone, all under one roof. So we started making special grinds just for our four-legged customers. It grew from there, and today we ship those grinds frozen to dogs all over the country.

Fresh ground bone
Never rendered, no bone meal. Just fresh bone, ground right in.
No HPP
No high-pressure processing. We keep the food fresh and simply freeze it.

Locally raised, Midwest family-farmed meat, the same we have worked with for generations.
