Where do you ship from?
Every order ships from our butcher shop in Ladoga, Indiana, packed in an insulated box with dry ice.
How much is shipping?
Orders of $149 and up ship free. Orders under $149 ship for a flat $24.99.
When will my order ship?
Orders ship from our shop in Ladoga within 2 to 3 business days. You'll get a tracking number by email as soon as yours is on the way.
How does it arrive?
Your order is packed in an insulated box with dry ice or gel packs so it arrives at a safe temperature (41 degrees Fahrenheit or below). It may not be frozen solid, and that is normal. Unpack it as soon as it arrives and put it straight into the freezer.
Do I have to be home for delivery?
No. Delivery is contact-free, and you'll get tracking alerts so you can bring the box in as soon as it lands.
What does 80/10/10 PMR mean?
PMR stands for prey model raw. Our PMR blends are 80% muscle meat, 10% organ and 10% raw edible bone, with the bone ground fresh from poultry frames. Never rendered, no bone meal, no synthetic premix.
What are Single Protein Grinds?
One protein per grind. Some are boneless meat and organ (beef, lamb), some are whole prey ground with bone (chicken, rabbit), and our Side o' Bone boxes pack meaty bones separately so you control the bone.
Do you use HPP?
No. High pressure pasteurization changes the proteins and knocks out beneficial bacteria. We grind, mix and freeze in small batches.
Is it organic?
No. Organic certification is a federal program, and the Indiana farms we work with have not entered it. They raise high-quality animals without hormone or antibiotic regimens.
Can I cook it?
Do not cook bone-in grinds or PMR blends. Cooked bone is not safe. Boneless grinds can be gently cooked, but check with your vet first if your dog is on a therapeutic diet.
Is it right for a dog with food allergies?
Everything we make is ground on shared butcher equipment, so we can't call any product allergen-free or recommend it for an elimination diet. Talk with your vet about your dog's needs. For rotation, our single protein and novel protein options make it easy to change proteins.
How much should I feed?
Most adult dogs eat 2 to 3% of their ideal body weight a day, and puppies 4 to 6% of their current weight. Use our feeding calculator and raw feeding chart, and see the 10-day transition guide if you're switching from kibble.
How do subscriptions work?
Subscribe on any eligible box to save 10% and choose monthly or every other month delivery. You can change or cancel anytime from your account.
What if something is wrong with my order?
Email us at help@montgomerymeats.com right away with your order number. Because it's perishable, we can't take returns, but we'll make it right with a replacement or a refund. See our refund policy for details.
How do you handle my information?
We use your information to process and deliver orders and to support you, and we don't share it with marketing companies without your permission. See our privacy policy.
