This turkey BARF blend is a complete raw meal built on the BARF (Biologically Appropriate Raw Feeding) approach. It combines whole ground turkey with organs, edible bone, and a fruit and vegetable puree, all in one ready-to-serve package. No sourcing produce, no blending, no guesswork. Just thaw, portion, and feed.

We grind and blend everything in small batches at Montgomery Meats, our butcher shop in Ladoga, Indiana. The turkey in this blend comes from the same USDA-inspected supply that stocks our retail meat cases. It is butcher-grade because it comes from a butcher shop.

What BARF Feeding Is and Why It Works

BARF feeding builds on raw, prey-model nutrition by adding whole fruits, vegetables, and botanicals to a meat, organ, and bone base. The goal is a broader spectrum of whole-food nutrients: fiber, antioxidants, vitamins, and trace minerals from real produce alongside the animal nutrition dogs are built to thrive on. This blend follows that philosophy with every ingredient sourced and ground in our own facility.

What Is Inside

The turkey base:

• Whole turkey muscle meat
• Ground edible bone
• Turkey heart, gizzard, and liver

The fruit and vegetable puree:

• Carrots, yellow summer squash, kale
• Apples, bananas, blueberries
• Kelp, beet root powder, turmeric, salt

That is the full ingredient list. No synthetic vitamin packs, no grains, no legumes, no starchy fillers.

How We Make It

Montgomery Meats has operated in Ladoga, Indiana for over 40 years. We are a full-service USDA-inspected slaughter and processing facility that supplies family kitchens across the Midwest. The Butcher's Hound grew out of that same operation. Every BARF blend is ground, mixed with produce, and frozen in small batches, typically a few hundred pounds at a time. We do not use high pressure pasteurization (HPP). What you get is real, whole food that looks and smells like exactly what it is.

How to Feed

Thaw in the refrigerator and portion by your dog's body weight. This blend works as a standalone BARF meal or as part of a protein rotation alongside our chicken and pork BARF blends. The 18lb box contains six 3lb chubs for easy portioning and freezer storage.
